This is one of the most misused terms in our industry today. Before you consider “rebuilding” your own piano, or purchasing a “rebuilt” piano, we strongly urge you to be comfortable with the following terms:
a) “Used”
b) “Reconditioned”
c) “Rebuilt”
d) “Restored”
e) “Remanufactured”
These words are not at all synonymous and if you don’t have a clear understanding of their meaning, we urge you to visit our workshop and allow the craftsmen at Kurt Saphir Pianos to clear up any confusion.
Kurt Saphir Pianos specializes in custom rebuilding and refinishing. We have rebuilt Steinway and Mason & Hamlin pianos on our showroom floors. Allow us to rebuild your older piano to YOUR specifications. Should you invest in rebuilding or purchase a new piano? Allow our staff to compare new vs. “OLD”.
